The Rival Diplomat Dump Truck Body is built for operators who demand performance without compromise. Designed, built, and installed exclusively by Rival Truck in Parksville, B.C., the Diplomat combines marine-grade 5052-H32 aluminum and 6061-T6 extrusions with a fully serviceable 8-tonne steel scissor hoist. Its multi-function tailgate, fold-down sides, and 50-degree dump angle make it one of the most versatile dump bodies in Canada. Available in multiple lengths and configurations, the Diplomat delivers the durability of aluminum with the rugged functionality required by municipalities, contractors, and field operations.
What is the availability of the Diplomat?
Diplomats are not built for stock/inventory, as such, each must be built by order. A typical order timeline is 12-16 weeks.

Though not recommended/ideal, we do build Diplomats for domestic pick-up trucks on a case-by-case basis. Acceptable trucks for a Diplomat must be Long Box length, DRW, and 1 ton or greater class.

How are Diplomat attached?
The Diplomat is bolted into our steel scissor hoist, which is bolted to the truck frame itself. This gives the aluminum the flexibility to perform for the long haul on even the roughest of roads.

Built from 5052-H32 millplate and 6061-T6 extrusions, this dump body offers high strength with dramatically reduced weight compared to steel alternatives; freeing up payload capacity and improving fuel efficiency. Its 8-tonne steel scissor hoist and 50° dump angle provide exceptional dumping performance, while the chainless 3-way tailgate, fold-down 12″ sides, and adjustable bulkhead make loading and unloading efficient and precise. The aluminum bed floor, sides, and tailgate are TIG- and MIG-welded for longevity and corrosion resistance, ensuring the Diplomat remains as strong and functional after years of use as it was on day one.
Every Diplomat is custom-built at Rival’s Parksville facility, with standard features including LED lighting, dual swing-down sides, towing apron, and safety provisions. Optional equipment such as coal chutes, tarps, under-deck boxes, chipper canopies, lighting packages, and tool storage expands capability even further. Designed for 60″, 84″, and 108″ cab-to-axle chassis, the Diplomat installs in roughly three business days and is backed by Rival’s renowned one-on-one customer service.
