The Rival “Diplomat” series Dump Box / Dump Body is a premium solution designed specifically for cab-chassis trucks (not for complete pick-ups). Built and designed exclusively by Rival Truck in Parksville, B.C., the Diplomat is a testament to quality craftsmanship and innovation. Constructed from 5052-H32 Aluminum Millplate and 6061-T6 Aluminum Extrusions, it features a robust steel scissor hoist, though no steel bed variants are offered (Aluminum Only! 💪). A typical installation at Rival Truck is completed within three business days, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.

Availability
Diplomats are not built for stock/inventory, as such, each must be built by order. A typical order timeline is 12-16 weeks.
Diplomats are only designed, built, and sold at Rival Truck in Parksville, B.C.
Compatibility
- Please refer to our sizing table below. However, Diplomats are built for the following size trucks:
- Cab & Chassis Domestic Trucks with a Cab-To-Axle length of 60″
- Cab & Chassis Domestic Trucks with a Cab-To-Axle length of 84″
- Cab & Chassis Domestic Trucks with a Cab-To-Axle length of 108″
- We DO build Diplomats for Hino, Isuzu, and Fuso, etc. There are too many possible lengths/sizes to list them all. If you’re looking to put together an import truck with a Diplomat – Please contact us, we’ve got options!
- Though not recommended/ideal, we do build Diplomats for domestic pick-up trucks on a case-by-case basis. Acceptable trucks for a Diplomat must be Long Box length, DRW, and 1 ton or greater class.

- DRW Only! No Single-Rear-Wheel Axles
- Not Recommended for pick-ups, though is available for 1-ton pick-ups in long box length.
- No 1/2 or 3/4 Tonnes! (1 Tonne Trucks and up)
- No Model Available designed to fit XS Domestic Pick-Ups with a bed length of 5′ 6″
- No Model Available designed to fit SB Domestic Pick-Ups with a bed length of 6′ 6″

Installation Info
- A typical diplomat installation at RivalTruck is completed within 3 Business Days. While some installations may be completed early, it is not guaranteed, and clients are expected to have a plan to stay overnight locally for up to 3 Business Days if necessary.

Enhanced Functionality
The Diplomat series includes several configurations and features to enhance functionality and user experience. The dump box features an adjustable-height front bulkhead, 12-inch high swing-down sides with single-handle and deadbolt latches, and 2×6 boards. The 18-inch high multi-function chainless 3-way tailgate, which includes an optional coal chute, adds to its versatility. The 50-degree steel dumping sub-frame is equipped with an 8-tonne scissor hoist and a double-acting KTI 12V hydraulic power pack with a 12-foot remote lead. Additional features include frame-mounted boxes with LED taillights, a modular and reconfigurable design, and marine-grade aluminum construction with 1/4-inch thick floor skins and 3/16-inch thick sides, tailgate, and bulkhead skins.

Reach new heights with Additional Options
Commonly added options include a spring retractable tarp, meshed window-cut-outs in the bulkhead, toolboxes, tool holders, tie-downs, tool racks, scene and amber lighting, coal chute, chipper canopy, steps, and grab handles, and extra mud flaps. The tailgate features a manual latch or can be upgraded to an electric actuator, with removable top pins allowing the gate to lay down like a pick-up gate, resting on cantilever points. The innovative chainless design of the tailgate allows for secure and flexible operation, making the Diplomat an ideal choice for those seeking a durable and versatile dump box solution.
