Built from 5052-H32 aluminum millplate with reinforced 6061-T6 extrusions, the Sloop is designed to secure your welding machine, oxygen, acetylene, propane, and up to eight reels all in one engineered package. Its CNC-formed 3/16″ base fits perfectly on flat decks, Paladin welding bodies, and service beds, offering stable, vibration-isolated mounting for machines up to 400 amps and beyond. With engineered gas bottle racks, AlumaReel compatibility, and optional features such as a roll cage, offset reel brackets, or custom powder-coat finishes, the Rival Sloop delivers the reliability and adaptability every serious welder deserves.

How are Sloop Skids attached?
The Rival Sloop Skid mounts using six heavy-duty vibration isolators for optimal stability and noise reduction. The isolators bolt directly to the deck, while the Sloop attaches to them via top-down accessible bolts, allowing fast removal without disturbing the mounts. This design means the isolators can stay in place, making it far easier to lift off or swap the Sloop between vehicles equipped with the same pattern. The CNC-formed 3/16″ aluminum base features pre-slotted mounting holes for most Lincoln and Miller engine drives, ensuring quick alignment and secure installation. The Sloop’s modular mounting system makes it one of the most serviceable, transferable skids in its class.
What models are available?
There is really only one model of ‘Sloop Skid’ – as seen in our photos and on the back of welding decks across Canada.
However, we do have various sloop bases, some more universal than others.
The default base we offer (and sell 90% of the time) has a universal sloop base designed around 400Amp machines (Vantages, Pipe Pro’s, etc.), and is also backwards compatible with any smaller machines (305G’s, 330MPX’s, etc.), with extra space.
We have smaller bases specifically designed for 305G’s and 330MPX’s if you don’t want the extra real estate offered in the default base configuration.
We have XL bases specifically designed for huge machines (Big Blue Duo Pro’s, Red-D-Arc’s, etc.). If you run a machine >435amp; talk to our team about what works best!

The Backbone of any Mobile Welder.
The (not so) secret strength behind the Rival Sloop Skid lies in its purpose-built-design and real-world functionality. Built from 3/16″ CNC-formed aluminum plate, the Sloop provides a stable, vibration-isolated platform for welders working across Canada’s toughest terrain. Pre-slotted mounting holes fit most Lincoln Electric and Miller engine drives, while the dual horizontal oxygen racks and acetylene/propane combination brackets keep bottles secure and job-site compliant. The integrated six-reel “6-PAX” stand on the driver’s side holds standard AlumaReels, with spacing optimized for Rival’s anti-theft protectors. With optional offset brackets, users can expand capacity to eight reels total, making the Sloop one of the most versatile setups on the market.
Weighing just 107 lbs and designed to fit any flat-deck or Paladin mid-section, the Sloop can be installed using Rival’s six-point vibration isolator system for unmatched stability and noise reduction. Available bare or in Sandtex black, it can also be powder-coated in any custom color and configured with roll-cage protection, pipestand mounts, or dual-propane conversions. Shipped standard to fit a 4′×8′ pallet footprint and installable in under three hours, the Rival Sloop Skid stands as the welder’s cornerstone; engineered for endurance, efficiency, and total equipment control.

Vibration Isolators
The only way to properly mount down a sloop skid, 6x Vibration Isolators (sold separately) is our warranty-covered installation method for the Sloop Skid.
2-Reel Offset Bracket
Take your sloop to the maximum by carrying up to 8 Reels on board with the Offset Bracket. Mounts on the rear-curb-side and adds 2x Reel Mounting Locations right behind Acetylene/Propane.
Roll Cage
Upgrade the standard side fences/brackets to a full height rollcage for your machine, providing extra machine protection, and lift points on top for cranes/hoists.
